Moore Love Feeder School Visits 2024

Moore Love Feeder School Visits 2024 MHS
Rusty Anderson

In preparation for this year's Moore Love fundraising efforts across the MPS District, elementary and junior high students involved with student council visited the high schools they'll eventually attend.

Superintendent's Leadership Academy (SLA) students at Moore, Westmoore and Southmoore took the younger students on campus tours and explained fun aspects of the high school experience. Then, the SLA students led them in icebreakers and fun activities to get their brains ready to share fundraising ideas.

Afterward, all the students had lunch together. The elementary and junior high students headed back to their school sites with the ideas they generated in hand and they will begin or continue their fundraising efforts.

This is the 8th year of the Moore Love philanthropic campaign, in which the district pulls together to raise funds for SLA-selected nonprofits that provide services and programs that benefit MPS students and families. The main fundraising month is in February, but many school sites begin working to earn the top fundraising title as soon as school starts in August.
